The Fine Line of Blessing Haters of God

I am not aware of any direct instruction of avoiding the blessing of nonbelievers of God within His Word specifically. However, a mature and growing Christian will have a different take on this subject, as compared to a young Christian, and both will think much differently on the matter when compared to a person of the world. It’s not so much a matter of written rules, as it is the total relationship a person has with the LORD GOD. If you are a person of the world, and offer blessings to nonbelievers as a way to show that you are a caring person, then it is not wrong. That person would not be invoking the LORD GOD’s response, and the words might bring comfort.

If you are a young Christian, and just beginning to walk the walk of Jesus Christ, and trying hard to love in accordance with the standards that he has set, and are moved by him to express those first steps of love, then the offering of your heart felt blessing to a lost soul might not be wrong. Sometimes the beginning joyful walk with Christ leads many unable to distinguish the different types and responses to love that a mature Christian develops, and responding with a sincere blessing to a nonbeliever might be a result. In fact, Jesus instructs all of his followers:

Matthew 5:43-48

“43 ¶ Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Mt 5:43-48 AV)

Bless your enemies are his instructions, and we must follow Christ’s instructions exactly. But what about the haters of God? What about the blasphemers and the idolaters and the deniers that have no thought or action toward the LORD God except for disdain and hatred? Does Jesus want Christians asking for His blessings to be bestowed upon the heathen and the worldly wicked.

If you are a mature Christian, with a solid foundation of Jesus Christ, and a dedicated relationship with the LORD God, then you are confident and reassured throughout His Word that he hears your prayers, and responds with His Will to your requests. You know that your word matters to God, and you are assured that your message will be delivered to His ears.

If a faithful and strong Christian were to bless a nonbeliever, he would be wrong, in most cases. By requesting the blessing of God to come upon a person, that Christian is asking God for that specific thing. Spiritually speaking, there are very few cases, if any, that He would be pleased that you were blessing someone that hated Him.

Praying for the nonbelievers to receive sight and hearing so they might turn to Him is one thing, but to ask for his blessings to be directed to the unbeliever seems insulative and blatantly using God’s name and nature to benefit only yourself with the world watching on. To presume that blessings should go to any non-believer or hater of God immediately places a Christian in a precarious place. If our Father were to listen and respond to the misguided Christian’s request for a blessing to the ungodly, then He would certainly suspect that Christian of not loving or walking in truth toward Him.

Nobody that loves somebody deeply wants to betray. We know the LORD God’s way of rewarding obedience and punishing disobedience. Those not belonging to Him, those not fearing and worshipping Him, are not going to be receiving the best parts of Him, and for a Christian to presume otherwise is wrong.

So it’s a fine, fine, fine grey line, and a very narrow path we sometimes have to walk. If we are being attacked by our enemies, then we are to pray for them, and offer blessings instead of curses. However, strong Christian workers must avoid placing themselves in situations where the haters of God can trick them for a blessing from practiced speech, expected responses or patterns of Christian behavior.

What we say as Christians matters to our God and our Savior. The words that come from our mouths are noted and acted upon according to Their Will. If the wicked sneeze, there is nothing in the Bible that tells us to say “God bless you”, and to offer that blessing makes you a fool. We are not expected to pray for blessings on the heathen, nor ask reward for the haters of God. On the other hand, if the wicked curse you, the Bible is clear that you are to bless them, and not to do so makes you disobedient to Christ.

It’s all about love in the end. Love your enemies when they attack you and fight the way of Christ, but for God’s sake, don’t forget to love Him also! To love the LORD God with all your heart and all your soul and all your might requires you to reject the wicked worldly who hate Him and His Way! If you are in the presence of the wicked worldly and they sneeze, hand them a tissue and keep your mouth shut.

A Boo-Bee Beautiful Wedding

Elizabeth's Wedding

Establishing Professional Theology, where its Christian leaders go out into their communities and minister to the unchurched believers, is not without a bit of unplanned drama sometimes. The four-walls of traditional churches offer some protection from surprises at more formal events; Pastors must always be alert to the unplanned happenings that can quickly pop up in formal ceremonies outside.

Officiation at my granddaughter’s wedding, exposed to the forces of nature on a deck overlooking the Clearwater National Forest and the Clearwater River flowing provided many good memories for attendees. I counseled the bride and groom that almost every marriage ceremony there are always a few hiccups that memories are built upon. They believe me now.

The bride was so beautiful walking down the aisle to join her tearful groom. They had courted each other for a year, and had done everything right in that courtship to ensure that they were legitimately joined by God as husband and wife. And the bride had planned every part with exacting detail, and demanded all of her supporters to follow her lead precisely.

As the bride’s hands were placed in the grooms, I had to pause for a few moments just so they could gain their composure before we began the formal ceremony. Suddenly, without warning, the bride gasped, and looked to me with an anxiousness that I knew something was terribly wrong. She dropped the hands of her beloved and started squirming gently, then much more than that, as she tried to signal to me what was wrong. Finally communicating to me that a bee had flown into her bosom and was crawling further and further into the places no one would want to be stung. Her husband-to-be responded quickly, and reached out to help his beloved remove the insect before it took a bite out of her. She slapped his hands away, reached into her bosom, deeply, and pulled out the offending bee without a sting. The bride’s family had no idea what had happened; the groom’s family members were trying to hold in their laughter.

Later, I asked the bride what thoughts she had as the drama unfolded. She said her first fear was being stung; but then, when she saw her groom began to reach into her bosom and find the offender, all she could think of is protecting their honor and go fishing in her bosom by herself, since the vows had not yet been shared. She imagined how some of the elderly folks would react if her groom had reached inside and aggressively searched for the offender.

So as she was squirming, I was trying to figure out as the officiant how to protect the sanctity of the event and still go after that ornery bee that must have been seconds away from a sting. Finally, after wiggling and readjusting things inside her dress, the bride found the offender, pulled it out and sent it flying away without a sting. But, you can be assured that every witness, every family member upon finding out about the squirm has joked about the “boo-bee” that created such a ruckus on that beautiful and hot day by the river in the wilderness of Idaho.

Fake Rapture Preparation 101

The political stage is set for the coming world control of the antichrist. The end times prophesy is unfolding before our eyes. True Christians everywhere are watching closely and waiting for the our time, when we are raised in the air to greet our Lord Jesus Christ.

So the stage is set…If only it were that easy. Before our raptured entry into our new and glorious life, we must face the real possibility that the wicked powers that will take control for a time need to make us go away, or become their fools.

Fake raptures are probable and predictable. The technology exists today to trick large groups of people who are primed for a spectacular event.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:24-27 av)

The very elect face the real possibility of being deceived. It’s gonna be that dramatic, that believable, that distressing and that devious. The great signs and wonders are not going to appear on burnt toast, or watered lawns and saturated buildings. They are not going to come by way of the cults in the burning buildings of Texas, or the bomb shelters in Montana.

The great signs and wonders are going to come in the sky, and placed in our minds, and spoken by everybody.

FAKE RAPTURE EVENTS WILL COME TO TRICK THE FAITHFUL CHRISITANS AND USHER IN THE COMPLETE CONTROL OF PEOPLE BY THE ANTICHRIST… and it’s coming soon to yours and my neighborhoods!

The tools the world powers possess are devious and wicked, and promised to be quite effective against the masses of people who need to be controlled. There has been rumors of high energy beams and holographic image capabilities in government programs such as Project Blue Beam and HAARP as well as government suggestions of UFO’s being real. It is reported that the potential exists for dramatic and real looking holographic images to be placed in the sky, to move normally, to be seen by many, and to speak. It has also been suggested that the technology exists that actual voices can be focused inside the ears of a person, where they hear things spoken, and can be tricked into believing that it is the voice of God.

Who knows. Certainly as a Teacher of the Word of God, I am not privy to any of the scientific and technological advances and never will be. But I do know my business! And my business is preparing Christians to be strong and faithful in spite of the attempts of world powers and the antichrist to trick and deceive.

So let me put it in very simplistic terms.

1. The LORD God or the Lord Jesus Christ will NOT appear in the skies in a “flamboyant show” of power.

2. Jesus Christ is not going to appear in the sky to order you to go anywhere.

3. Jesus is aware of all of the potential areas that world powers can trick and control you, and is NOT going to be angry at you if you doubt that the dramatic events are not His doing. In fact, he is going to be very proud of you for questioning.

4. The world powers may be able to produce dramatic and heart stopping cinematic images in the air, and they may well be able to enter into our own thoughts, but they can never get into our hearts!

5. The LORD God does not speak inside our head with an audible voice. Faithful Christians know His Way, and that Way is not known by the carnal, and thus, can never be copied. The LORD God is not Charlton Heston or George Burns, and doesn’t speak with thee and thou! The true real LORD GOD moves us and guides us with His Holy Spirit, who leads without fail on the path we must be!

6. Events will not unfold as the latest movies or books about them have presented. If the world is prepared for these rapture events with popular books, then trust that the world is prepared. They have their popular novels and they have their understanding of the events to come. They are wrong.

7. Faithful Christians have the Word of God forever. He is written in our hearts that is untouchable by man. Our study of His Word tells us what to expect, and how to wait and watch.

8. When Jesus Christ comes for the end times saints, and we are raptured to Him as the final things are in place, you can be certain that there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind. In fact, it is promised to be in a twinkling of an eye!

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 av)

When rapture to our Lord Jesus Christ takes place, there isn’t going to be time to consider. It is going to be quick, quick, quick. With that knowledge alone, a Christian is empowered to differentiate between the grand productions of the antichrist, and the true Rapture of the Faithful.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, stay faithful, watchful and confident. The Lord Jesus Christ is not going to lose one of his sheep! Have courage in these coming times. Read and study the Word of God as often as you can so the words are written in your heart deeply, in a place that no man, no world power and no antichrist can touch!

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these [are] the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:4-31 av)

Fake Rapture Events Might Cause some Young Christians to Lose Their Faith

Christians excitedly wait in expectation of meeting our Lord Jesus Christ in the air, and forever being with him throughout eternity. We’re promised that Jesus Christ will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of the LORD God, where faithful Christians who are living at the time will be caught up together with them in the clouds.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1Th 4:13-18 AV)

Christians know Jesus Christ will one day rapture their living souls to him at the LORD God’s chosen time. The worldly know to, as the popular best selling “Left Behind” books spread the prophecies of end times events to almost everybody in the world. Lucifer knows of the important day, when Christians are gathered to their Savior, to prepare for the ushering in of the final plans of destruction to him and his people. And you can bet the powerful world leaders who will one day assume critical roles that will trigger the events prophesized within the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah and Revelations, know all about the plans of Jesus Christ to rapture his people to him before the final tribulation and Last Judgment begins.

What if these powerful leaders were able to create events in the skies that could trick people into believing that Jesus Christ had come? What if satellites, and computers, and lasers, and sound devices could be linked in such a way that the false appearance of Jesus Christ in the sky could be reflected? What if after such events were accomplished, that large groups of people disappeared from the face of the earth?

What would become of the Christian faithful if they thought they were left behind? How much confusion, panic, disorientation, and despair would remain within the soul of every faithful believer who had looked for the event all of their spiritual lives? How much fighting and discord would come into the gatherings of the Born Agains as they struggled with the confusions of trickery? How quickly would world religion be established as proof that the fundamental and conservative believers were all wrong, as they prepare to establish their own agenda as prophesized in the Bible?

How many Christians would lose their faith if they were tricked into believing that rapture had happened, and they were not wanted by Jesus Christ?

With the technologies of today, it is possible for world powers to create effects that mimic rapture, and we know that powers and forces could benefit from creating illusions of Christ’s coming to manipulate and control the masses with wicked precision.

How do Christians protect themselves from being tricked?

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” (Mt 24:21-28 AV)

Jesus Christ was specific in his warning and his instructions. If anyone says that Jesus Christ is here or there, do not believe them. There is going to be trickery.

These false Christs are not going to wear orange robes, or hide in bunkers in Montana, or fortify themselves in compounds in Texas. They are not going to wear flowing white robes with angelic voices singing songs of praise, as they televise a ministry of money throughout the world.

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT…the false christs will show great signs and wonders. They will be doing things that will astound everybody, and will easily trick and potentially deceive even the Faithful Christians who are closest to Jesus Christ.

The false christs will appear in the deserts, the places where the Word of God no longer flows. They will appear in the secret places, the places where the Word of God is not spoken.

Jesus Christ says DO NOT GO! Do not go anywhere to look for the coming of Jesus Christ. He assures his faithful that there will be no doubt to his presence, throughout the world, to all people, when he comes.

We must wait patiently and confidently for that great day as we begin to endure the things that have been prophesized to usher in these end times. We must prepare our minds for the things to come, through the study of the Word of God, and the memorization of our Christ’s instructions on how to protect ourselves to the very letter. It is that important!

End Time Christians play a pivotal role in His prophesies, as we are tasked with evangelizing the Word of God throughout the world. Don’t get tricked by flashing lights and sounds or fleshly displays of wonder and signs. Keep walking ahead and forward to King Jesus Christ, and doing the things he has tasked you with until his blessed return.

Christians Endure and Survive Because of Hope

One summer day my family was lazily floating in individual inner tubes down the Clearwater River. It was the perfect day and the perfect time, and the slow moving river would offer a little excitement every once in a while with a tiny rapid or two. We’d hit those rapids with excitement, shoot down the river for a couple hundred yards, and then settle back down to the gentle flow of normalcy.

The perfect day was suddenly interrupted by horrible screams of animals piercing our peace from somewhere upriver. We all turned our inner tubes as quickly as we could, and scanned the river for signs of the terrible noises that were screaming behind us.

Black clumps of hair, seven of them, were struggling to stay afloat. Kittens, an apparent burden to their owner, had been tossed out the car window into the river. We watched in horror as one, and then another, gave up their struggles of survival, and sank below the surface of the water.

They were so far from us, that we could not get to them in time to rescue. I remember shouting as loud as I could to my son to follow me upstream, as we tried to figure out how to help drowning animals out of our reach.

It was that shout that drew the attention of one of the kittens that was farthest from our grasp. That kitten focused on us, and suddenly changed direction in the river, and started paddling toward us. He had over a half mile to swim, and his brothers and sisters were going under and drowning in front of him.

We knew the chances of the kitten reaching us seemed hopeless, but we watched the last kitten swim with the determination of one with HOPE.

A mile and forty minutes later, that little kitten made it to our tubes, and we quickly scooped it from the water, held it tight, and let it catch its breath. It survived because he had hope of rescue, from seeing salvation floating far ahead of him. Where his brothers and sisters had given up, he endured, because he knew he could.

Scientists have found the same conditioning in rats. To test their theory that rats can have hope, they put them in a container of water. The rats would struggle to swim, but at some point give up, and begin to drown after a few short minutes. At the moment when drowning was imminent, the Scientist would reach down and pull the rat out of the water.

The next time the rat was tested with the same conditions, he was able to swim for hours, rather than minutes. It was the hope, the knowledge of rescue, which gave him the strength to go on.

Christians endure and survive because of hope. It is hope in our salvation, in our rescue, in our survival, in our eternal life, and in our loving Savior Jesus Christ, that gives us the strength to continue in spite of all odds.

There is no doubt that we go through many trials and tribulations. There is no question that we suffer from persecutions because of our faith. It is well known that the pains and hardships of a Christian who walks faithfully are sometimes overwhelming to those looking from the outside.

But we have HOPE, and it is that HOPE that let’s us survive to live another day. Our enemies from the darkness do not have HOPE.

When attacks are coming your way, remember and endure! It is endurance that comes from Hope, and if you are a Christian, you are able to go that extra mile to survive another day. So have patience, complete the Works He Wills you to do, and have full assurance of hope unto the End!

For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb 6:10-12 AV)

Do you think you are dying?

Just before death comes to people in natural ways, the body begins a deterioration, and the mind comprehends the possibility that the downhill decline is leading to death. Strong spiritual Christian leaders can often perceive the “preparation” of the soul for the death or resurrection process that occurs at the same time life begins to slow down and the body declines.

While always a sad part of life when we lose those we love and like, there is a joyous ending when we watch saved Christians pass away. We know we will see them again, and we know they are in the presence of Jesus and in the place of Heaven that heals, comforts, and restores them to their truest selves. But, sadly, we also mourn the loss of those that we think unsaved, because of the wasted life of things that might have been available to them if they had only made the choice of Christ.

My early Methodist upbringing often focused upon the Scripture verse that says the “last are first and the first last:”

“Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, pjudging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” (Matthew 19:28-30)

The Methodist unsaved, especially the men, took advantage of this declaration of Christ, by committing to themselves to ask for salvation from Christ at the very last moment of life. They resolved to live the life they chose until the very last minute of their lives on the earth. At that moment, they reasoned, they would give a shout out to the Lord Jesus Christ to save them, knowing that they were guaranteed a spot in Heaven. I kid you not; many men I knew that went to after church events with their wives, and I heard this claim to Methodist salvation at the last moment of life many, many times.

Sadly, I watched these same men in dying process and attended their funerals. I observed in almost all cases, by the time they should have been shouting out to the Lord for that hoped for salvation, they were instead in a coma, feeble, or mentally changed to the point they were unable to publicly declare or privately ask for the salvation to occur.

A few years back, I attended a big event with a great deal of people. I saw three, maybe four people that have begun the process of preparation to die. I do not know any of their faiths, do not know whether they follow Christ as their Savior, and do not know if they have accepted Him and received salvation in their private lives. However, just in case they have not done this, I thought it prudent to offer the steps to salvation:

Step 1: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

There are NO more steps. It is not very complicated. Of course, to make that statement, you must first believe that no matter how much good you have done on this earth, you still are sinful, and need the salvation of the Lord to go to Heaven. However, if you believe Scripture, then Romans 10:9 tells you exactly what you need to do.

Grab hold of your hope of Resurrection and surety of faith by claiming it before you die. Once you die, it is over, and you do not have any other opportunity for salvation.

The men and women I saw prepared by God for the beginning processes of dying were some of the neatest people I met that day. I hope that they already have a strong faith professed in Christ, and are fully participating in representing the Kingdom of God. However, I suspect a few remain unsaved.

It is time folks. Confess Christ and your sure belief in Him and the Father God who is your Creator.

God bless all believers in Him. When you soon stand in the presence of Christ, please remember me to Him, and speak good things of my behalf. That would be really cool!

Our Rewards Come Later with Jesus

Have you seen and heard the fancy pansy Christians that claim great reward and prosperity available to all that pray a certain prayer, belong to a certain religion, or claim reward in order to receive it? This claim is an UNTRUTH. God will not give you reward and prosperity for your accomplishments or wishes in this life. It is not going to happen.

So how do we address those Christian leaders that claim such lies? We call them false prophets and false teachers, and we get away from their mumble jumbo as fast as possible. Your righteousness, holiness, and life after death depends upon your choice of Christian leadership to follow. Don’t be tricked! If you follow a false prosperity preacher, you jeopardize a strong relationship with the Lord!

I know the popular messages on Facebook from misguided Christians that encourage prosperity coming to them through prayer. Don’t waste your time. The Bible tells us differently:

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (Revelation 22:12)

The rewards of God come afterwards, when your life on this earth is ended and your works are completed. They never come to you when your works directed by God are unfinished. Reward never comes to any Christian for the stuff they do on this earth, until it is given by Jesus to you in His coming Judgment of your works:

“Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as holy fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:12-15)

The works I’m doing on this earth that are guided by God, the works you are doing on this earth that are guided by God, will be judged later, after our works are created and our lives are over on this earth. If any pretend Christian leader dares to tell you otherwise, tell him or her “Satan, get thee behind me!” and run like Hell is close at hand!

Now, don’t ever doubt the grace-filled providences of the LORD God when you are given exactly what you need to accomplish His Works. When you are doing His extended works, He provides a shelter, food, and strength to accomplish it fully; He even sends people to help you with your job. If you run into a situation that you need more help, supplies, strength, or any other material need, your prayers to Him will alert your situation. He will then evaluate and provide the best solutions for your task at hand. Immediately. Supernaturally. Happens often in my life and many other Christian leaders lives as we do the things He wills. I’ve seen it happen in simple Christian’s lives also, so it is not just restricted to the officers and leaders of His Kingdom. However, those blessings to aid with His Works, are for HIS WORKS! Personal ownership of those blessings without doing His Work is a sin, and you will receive “loss” from Him when your works are judged later.

Don’t expect prosperity or reward on earth. Money and materials coming your way from God’s Hands are restricted to the use towards His tasks, to the penny. Misspending and misappropriating His things can even result in death coming to you, should you misuse them in deliberate ways:

“But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.” (Acts 5:1-11)

Do you understand what I am saying? When you are doing works for the LORD God, take great care and consideration of all resources that come your way to the job He has given you. If you have food, shelter, health, and survival tools for life, then praise the Lord often! In the case of resources coming your way for the completion of His works, use them wisely! And, in the case of reward that will come to you and bring you exceedingly great prosperity, look for it when you are in the presence of the Lord and He rewards you for a job well done!

A Confused Prayer

My Precious Lord Jesus Christ.

Do I pray for peace or justice? Do I remain quiet?

I stand with Israel, and always will.

Yet, my heart cries for the innocent women and children in Gaza. My strength wants to strike back at the terrorists who use them as shields.

Yet, my biggest angers are for the deliberate slayings of innocent Israelis who were murdered with assassinations and kidnappings that are wicked. The murders were deliberately targeting the innocents. They were cowards of terrorism that must be stopped.

Yet, I want you to come quickly Lord Jesus. If this is the beginning of the End, part of my heart wants your prophecies to be fulfilled quickly so I can be in your arms of comfort in my Home in Heaven and the New Earth that you have prepared for me. So I selfishly ask, HOW DO I PRAY?

I am confident that |”you’ve got this.” And I want you to know that I realize there’s not much I can do. Yet, it is breaking my heart and I don’t know how to pray.

So this is my prayer. Comfort the victims of terrorism and wickedness that have come against them. Protect yours if it is God’s will that they survive, and if not, give them quick passage to eternal life. Give strength to God’s warriors, and give me words to encourage support for the righteous acts that will strike against the evil. Make a way for your followers, a path of safety, away from the attacks that are coming their way. And let me stand proudly, as a soldier of God’s, and know that I march with the confidence that God’s will be done. And, Lord Jesus Christ…Come quickly and save us from this terrible world as soon as your Father permits! In your name, I pray. Amen.

Lesson 2

What is a sin?

Sin is the disobedience to the LORD God’s Laws and is unrighteous, unjust, immoral, and wrong.  The five types of sin, transgression, unrighteousness, omission of known duty, faithlessness, and foolish acts constitute a sin against the LORD God. This chapter encourages you to have faith that the LORD God has convicted you of your sins, and dissuades you from looking for new sins, or focusing on the old ones. You will learn to focus on what the LORD God is placing in your heart concerning sin and change what you can as fast as you can and have confidence that those deeper sins that seem impossible to remove at this point, will become easier to overcome as your walk with Jesus becomes steady.

John 3:4

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

22. Sin is the disobedience to the LORD God ‘s Laws.

1 John 5:17

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

23. Sin is unrighteous. It is unjust, immoral, and wrong.

24. There are different degrees of sin. Not all sin is unforgivable and punished by death.

James 4:17

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

25. A person that knows to do good works and does not do them is sinning.

26. A sin for one person may not be a sin for another person.

Romans 14:22-23

Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

27. Faith is between each individual and God. The LORD God decides how much faith you will have, and he will transform you by the renewing of your mind so that you know what is good, acceptable and the perfect will of God. Conversely, the LORD God will reveal to each individual what their sins are.

28. A sin is committed if a person believes a certain truth, then doubts that truth and acts on his doubt.

29. If a person’s faith allows him to act, and he does that act in faith, he will be happy.

30. If a person’s faith allows him to act, yet he condemns with guilt, doubt, punishment, or fear on the act, he will be unhappy.

31. If it is not of faith, it is a sin.

Proverbs 24:9

The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

32. It is a sin to plan or think wickedly or recklessly.

Review

There are five types of sin. These types of sin are:

1. Transgression                  (22)   Disobedience to the LORD God’s Law

2. Unrighteousness             (23, 24) Unjust, immoral, and wrong

3. Omission of known duty (25, 26) Failing to do good works

4. Faithless                          (27-31)   Failing to act on faithful conviction

5. Foolish acts                    (32)    Wicked or reckless planning

When we first started Becker Bible Studies, we passed out a list of sins assembled and classified from the Ten Commandments. Similar lists of sin are popular with many of the major religions in teaching their students the definition of sin. Through the years, we discovered that this list of classified sins created many problems that failed to address the LORD God’s complete and true Will regarding sin. No man or church can conclusively construct a list of sins. Man’s relationship with God develops new requirements, thus, new possibilities for deeper interpretations of God’s laws. Furthermore, because of the all-encompassing nature of the LORD God, man might be unaware of sins that are truly sins to the LORD God. Just because a sin has not yet been convicted by the LORD God on a person’s heart, does not make it any less of a sin.

Another problem with attempting to list sin is the “actual” vs. “intent” interpretation. As we walk with Jesus, we learn how to understand the laws of the LORD God through His Will rather than man’s rigid, confusing, or self-serving interpretations. For example, theft may be classified as a sin on a list as a violation of the Eighth Commandment that says “Thou shalt not steal”. (Ex 20:15) While the letter of the law states that theft is a sin, the intent of the law by the LORD God is so much different. We all know deep inside ourselves that there is a difference between a person who would take possessions of others for self-gain vs. a person who takes a loaf of bread to feed a hungry family. That knowledge of difference in this example is placed in the hearts of His people by the LORD God.

The LORD God gives His people the ability to seek justice, interpret grayness and recognize sin. He gives us this knowledge through Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus spoke of the intent of the LORD God many times as the Pharisee and Sadducees tried to trap Him with the letter of the law. He taught His disciples to choose the LORD God’s Will over man’s interpretation, and to have faith in their convictions.

The list of sin handouts is no more. The LORD God’s people must be obedient to His law and avoid anything that is unjust, immoral, or wrong. They should know that when the LORD God expects a good work from them, they should do it. God’s people should never fail to act on a faithful conviction of the heart. Lastly, sinful thoughts are just as bad as sinful actions, and people of God should avoid them.

Have faith that the LORD God has convicted you of your sins and you know what they are. Don’t go looking for new sins, and don’t go looking for old sins. Focus on what the LORD God is placing in your heart concerning sin and change what you can as fast as you can. Those deeper sins that seem impossible to remove at this point, will become easier to overcome as your walk with Jesus becomes steady.

About Becker Bible Studies

I will be loading every study I write onto this site. Each loaded study will have a number that indicates the order they should be studied. All Bible Studies can be accessed by choosing the category of “Bible Study” at this site.

The studies begin with simple and familiar concepts that all Christians should know. These studies begin at the beginning, so we are assured that we are all on the same page. As the studies continue, you will notice they get longer and more difficult. By BI113, you will find information within the studies that you probably have never been taught before.

I am a deep Bible teacher chosen by God to write deep Bible Studies for mature Christians. I write things of typology and the mysteries of God that are contained within the Word of God. I do not teach a specific doctrine of a specific church purposely; rather I teach Scripture, and sometimes mention doctrines that have developed by that particular reference if it is important to the study.

Mature Christians are fed deeply through these studies as they learn the deeper Word of God. Thanks be to God for all of His sharing of mysteries as we delve into the depths of Scripture to touch the face of Him!
